Insurance Bets Prove To Be Disadvantageous To Players

Placing an insurance bet whenever the dealer shows an Ace may not be a good move in blackjack.

For this wager, you assume that the dealer has a hole card of 10. If indeed, it was a 10, you get a 2:1 payout. However, you lose your bet if it is a different card.

At first, this may sound profitable. But not in the long run. It is because, there is no assurance that the dealer will always get a 10.

Wagering for the insurance is advantageous in certain occasions, but not enough to help you leave a footpr1nt in blackjack.
